Preparations for Stove
- Bring water to a boil in a saucepan
- Stir in Rice
- Cover
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until all the water is absorbed
Notes:
- For drier rice, use 1/4 cup less water
- For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water
- Add 1 Tbsp butter and 1 tsp salt ber cup of uncooked rice (if desired)
Preparations for Microwave
- In a 2 Quart microwave safe dish, combine 1-3/4 cups of water and 1 cup of rice.
- Cover and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes
- Reduce setting to 50% power and microwave for 10 minutest
- Let stand for 5 minutes
Note:
- It is recommended that only 1 cup of rice be prepared in the imcrowave at a time.
